I am a second year PhD student in philosophy at the University of Notre Dame.

Inside Alice's Cabin

My primary philosophical interests lie within metaphysics, specifically in persistence, time, meta-ontology, vagueness, mereology, material constitution, and free will. I'm also interested in some issues in the philosophy of language (meaning, reference, and vagueness) and epistemology (esp. warranted assertion, closure princeples, and internalism/externalism). I'm a bit interested in meta-ethics and the philosophy of music.

When I'm not doing philosophy, I'm probably drinking coffee or a microbrew, listening to rap music, reading fiction, doing the NYT crossword, or shooting pool.
