Research Interests
Interests include studying visual defects in the zebrafish night blindness models nbb and nbd. The nbb and nbd mutants are characterized by progressive degeneration of the inner retina (dopaminergic cells) and outer retina (photoreceptor cells), respectively. Research includes the evaluation of retinal histological profiles and determining molecular/genetic causes of the mutant phenotypes.
