The course will be graded on the basis of:

quizes.These account for 25% of the total course grade.

Class participation.
This accounts for 5% of the total course grade.

A midterm exam on Thursday, March 9.
This accounts for 20% of the total course grade.

The final exam held on Friday, May 12, from 10:30-12:30.
This accounts for 30% of the total course grade.

Student reports on topics of current or recent research in cosmology:
These account for 20% of the total course grade.

These reports are to describe a current research problem in Astrophysics
and indicate what observations or theoretical work will help to solve the
research problem.

The reports be approximately 5 pages single spaced.

Term papers are due on in class on Tuesday, May 2 (the last day of
class).
