During the 2008-09 academic year I will be on leave and away from campus. I currently plan on being at IDEO in Palo Alto, CA from August - December, 2008 and at the Technical University Delft in the Netherlands from January – June 2009. You can contact me at the email address indicated above. During my leave I will be exploring ideas and developing new collaborations as I transition from my role as Department Chair (2002-2008). I very much appreciate the University providing me with this opportunity and IDEO and TUD for offering to work with me. Some of my current interests in engineering design and design methodology are reflected in the courses I taught during the past academic year.

Teaching Activities:

I have been fortunate to be able to be involved in a number of different courses during my time at Notre Dame. For those interested in looking at some activities in the Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering capstone design courses, the following links provide information on some of those courses as well as project descriptions and student projects for both the AE and ME capstone design projects.
