Rector: Sister Denise Lyon, IHM (A.K.A. Badin Mom)

Sister

Sr. Denise Lyon has been the rector of Badin Hall since 2006. She joined the Badin community after spending two years at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Spiritual Renewal Center. There, she served as the Director of Spiritual Formation, was a member of the core planning team, and presented spiritual workshops to retreat-goers. Before that, Sr. Denise worked as a Catholic schoolteacher for 30 years. She holds graduate degrees in Counseling and Pastoral Care from Neumann College, and in Monastic Studies and Spirituality from St. John's University. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and Theology from Immaculata University in Immaculata, PA.

With roots in Pennsylvania, Sister Denise always looks forward to Notre Dame football games against rival Penn State!

Major: currently a law student, was a PLS major as an undergrad here
Interesting Facts: I lived in northern China for one year after graduation and returned to Notre Dame in 2009 for law school.

Breanna Houghton (AR)

Hometown: Albuquerque, NM
Major: Law
Interesting Facts: I spent my first summer of law school working at a firm in historic Santa Fe, New Mexico where I gained experience in commercial transactions and litigation.
