Resources

If research is required for a paper, take advantage of all the different resources that are available. Reference librarians can be invaluable in helping you find information about your topic. Remember, it is not their job to actually “do” the research - merely to point you in the right direction and give you ideas about where to find good information. Obviously, you can use books, magazine articles, newspapers, and professional journalsl.

The Internet has become a readily available place to find information. Although helpful, never limit yourself to just the Internet. If you do use the Internet, always be sure you know who wrote or provided the information you are considering. Anyone can put something on the Internet, so you need to be sure to choose sources that are reliable and credible.
