Dr. Seabaugh joined the Notre Dame faculty in September of 1999 from Raytheon Systems Company (97-99), Texas Instruments ( 86-97), and the National Bureau of Standards (79-86). His research interests are in high performance and nanoelectronic devices and circuits, including applications of silicon tunnel diodes, resonant tunneling diodes and transistors, strained silicon, high speed III-V transistor technologies, nanofabrication tools, nano/microelectromechanical systems, and chemical/bioagent detectors.
