Graphic and Industrial design graduate students work and teach in a three-year,
values-based MFA degree program, culminating in a thesis paper and exhibition
that define their place in the contemporary stream of design. This is
accomplished through independent study and interdisciplinary research
that require students to understand the socio-political context within
which their work operates.

Progress is evaluated through weekly critiques with the design faculty
and by the entire studio and design faculty during mid-semester and end-of-semester
reviews. All graduate students are allocated a spacious, secure, and well-appointed
studio space.
