This course is about making inferences with statistics. We explore how the everyday concepts, such as relative frequency as a measure of chance and the notion of independence of events, lead to a powerful theory for the interpretation of data.

Through the formulation of hypotheses and the collection of data, we will explore and draw conclusions about our environment using the tools of hypothesis tesing and confidence intervals.
