The Micromechanics Laboratory is co-directed by Timothy C. Ovaert and Steven R. Schmid and located in 217 square feet of space. Major equipment includes a Hysitron Triboindenter™ nanomechanical test instrument, a Veeco Dimension™ 3100 AFM, a stylus profilometer, and a Meiji optical microscope.
