The Histology and Specimen Preparation Laboratory is co-directed by Glen L. Niebur and Ryan K. Roeder and located in 291 square feet of space. Major equipment includes a low speed diamond wafer saw, two grinding/polishing wheels, an ultrasonic bath, and a glassware washer. The laboratory is equipped with a variety of embedding, mounting and polishing media. Appropriate storage and safety measures, including chemical fume hoods, solvent cabinets, an eyewash and shower, are present for safe interaction with chemicals and biological tissues.
