The Cell and Tissue Culture Laboratory is co-directed by Ryan K. Roeder and Diane Wagner and located in 769 square feet of space. Major equipment includes two Nuaire class II type B laminar flow biological safety cabinets, two Thermo Electron model 370 incubators, a Thermolyne Locator Jr. cryobiological storage vessel, a Leica DM IL optical microscope, a Labconco FreeZone Triad freeze dryer, a centrifuge, a refrigerator/freezer, and a glassware washer. Appropriate storage and safety measures, including chemical fume hoods, solvent cabinets, an eyewash and shower, are present for safe interaction with chemicals and biological substances.
