| Biological Tissue Laboratory
The Biological Tissue Lab is co-directed by Glen L. Niebur and Ryan
K. Roeder and located in 504 square feet of space. Major equipment
includes a low speed diamond wafer saw, a Sherline CNC lathe and
end mill, a band saw, a drill press with diamond coring bits,
a dissection table, a sterilizer, an ultrasonic bath, and three 20
cubic foot chest freezers for specimen storage. The laboratory is
equipped with a variety of fine dissection tools such as scalpels,
forceps, etc. Appropriate
storage and safety measures, including chemical fume hoods, solvent
cabinets, an eyewash and shower, are present for safe interaction
with chemicals and biological tissues.
