Description:
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for new graduates with diverse technical backgrounds for entry level positions working with the latest technologies to produce aerospace and defense systems of national importance. Tasks will be assigned based on education and experience, and may include activities in all phases of systems engineering; system, space and ground segment design; system and segment requirements analysis, definition development, verification and validation; operational concept design; interface specification; integration and test development, including procedure development, command scripts, and scenario development; performance analysis, design and development of analysis and support tools, algorithm design, simulation and modeling, metrics collection and analysis; preparation of trade studies; hardware and software qualification testing and documentation. Candidate must have the ability to work effectively within a team environment, well developed problem-solving skills, a highly organized approach to working, succinct oral communication and writing skills, and the ability to effectively document compelling technical rationale. Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Some relocation assistance may be available. Position is open to grade 61/62. Final grade determination based on education, experience and qualifications. The following are the basic qualifications for this position: US Citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD Secret or higher government clearance. BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or closely related field. Coursework in the area of Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Understanding of and experience in computer software programming. Graduation from an accredited educational institution within the past year. Experience in the following areas will be an asset: Current or recent DoD Secret (or higher) clearance. Technically broadening education or experience, especially a minor in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
