Dear AME Sophomore and Junior,

One of the exciting educational opportunities provided during your time at Notre Dame is the chance to participate in a foreign study experience. In the past few years students from AME have studied in London, Mexico, Cairo, Dublin, Australia, and Germany. Some of these programs are associated with structured University programs and others have been specially designed by the students themselves.

Participation in a foreign study program requires advance planning on your part and to assist you with that we are holding a very informal information session on Thursday, Sept 9 at 5:30 pm in Rm. 356 Fitzpatrick Hall. The purpose of this short meeting will be to overview all of the programs in a very general fashion, address a few issues with respect to the programs in London, both summer and fall, and answer any questions you might have as you consider these options.

I know that the Dean's office is planning sessions to provide additional information later in the semester and that the specific programs will also have similar sessions, but hoped this quick meeting might help you begin to explore your options.

If you cannot attend this meeting but have questions about your foreign studies, please feel free to contact me, either by email or stop by the office, and I will try to assist.

Regards,

S. Batill
