Grant Osborn, '09

Grant Osborn hails from the Northeastern states and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Biological Sciences in 2006. He is the author of The Human Market (2007) from Luapatir Press and a winner of the Long Reach for African American Poetics Competition (2005). Grant entered the work force at the tender age of nine, where he worked at a wood mill bagging firewood into potato sacks and onion bags for a dollar fifty a day; since then Grant has worked as a grocery store bag-boy, cashier, sports medicine athletic trainer for our illustrious ND football team, and, most recently, as a research technician for the Indiana University School of Medicine in South Bend. Grant is a lover of soul and thinks everyone should have at least a couple of vices; some of his favorites are whiskey, women, wine, and song.
