Jaclyn Dwyer, '09

Jaclyn was born and raised in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where she attended Gwynedd-Mercy College. She then spent a year studying abroad at Oxford University. During this time she traveled throughout Europe and on a whim took a ferry to Morocco where she (unknowingly) ate pigeon in a puff pastry. Upon her return to the states, Jaclyn earned her Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also worked in the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders. When she is not reading or writing, she enjoys swimming, running, and most other aerobic activities. Her writing is most influenced by Joyce Carol Oates and A. M. Homes, and she received a fellowship to attend the MFA program.
