Alexandra Guisinger, Ph.D. (Yale University, 2005) is an
Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre
Dame and a faculty fellow of the Kellogg Institute for International
Studies and the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies.
Professor Guisinger specializes in international relations theory,
crisis
diplomacy, and international political economy. Her most recent work
focuses on exchange rate regimes, trade policy, and the regulation of
capital flows.
Publications:
This course is an advanced graduate seminar on international political economy. It focuses on models and empirical tests of decision making under political and economic constraints and covers topics such as trade, monetary and fiscal policy, foreign investment, globalization, development, foreign aid, and international cooperation. As a seminar, active participation by students is essential.
