On Sunday April 20th, 2008 the University of Notre Dame will hold its 4th annual Eucharistic Procession. All are welcome to join the Reverend David T. Tyson, Provincial Superior, Indiana Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and the Notre Dame community as they celebrate and give witness to Christ's presence in the Eucharist. Co-sponsored by many different groups from Notre Dame, St. Mary's, and Holy Cross College, the
procession is a revival of an old tradition at the University. Join us for the 11:45 Mass at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame followed immediately by the procession and a picnic lunch provided by the campus Knights of Columbus. Children of Mary is organizing a 40 Hour Devotion leading up to the Eucharistic Procession. Eucharistic Adoration will be held for 40 hours before the Procession in the Malloy Hall Chapel. People are needed to cover these slots, please visit the 40 Hour Devotion Sign-up page to sign up. In case of rain, the Procession will be held inside the Basilica after the 11:45am mass. Next year's procession will be on Sunday April 26, 2009. If you are interested in supporting future Eucharistic Processions, donations can be made to Notre Dame Campus Ministry (please include Eucharistic Procession in the memo line).
