5. In defining Strategic Planning the following ideas were put forward:
Planning several moves ahead
SWOT
Formal
General but not broad, vague or mindless
Drop functions as necessary
Choose between alternatives
Date & soft issues
Cyclic and ongoing process
Should be stable of a long period of time
Represents the best fit between the organization
and its environment

Starting and not finishing due to the process becoming
cumbersome
Not able to see the strategic issues
