10. Reassess strategies and the
strategic planning process.
Purpose:
Once the implementation process has been under way for some time, it
is important to review the strategies and the strategic planning process
as a prelude to a new round of strategic planning.
Approaches:
Much of the work of this phase may occur as part of the ongoing implementation
process. However, if the organization has not engaged in strategic planning
for a while, this should be a separate phase. Attention should be focused
on successful strategies and whether they should be maintained, replaced
by other strategies, or terminated for one reason or another.
