LEC reviewed the FY99/00 salary projections done by Theresa Casad. The projection is based on an annualization of staff on the payroll as of October 31, 1999, as well as estimated salary and starting dates for new and/or replacement positions. We anticipate the budget will be underspent due to several positions starting mid-fiscal year, and therefore, we will request the ability to use the money for other purposes, such as the Web of Science backfiles, non-Roman language bibliographic records and/or a digital microform reader/printer mentioned in the budget initiatives for 2000/01.

Jo reported on an ILL report done by Kathy Ryan-Zeugner. Overall, the data collected show a decrease in turnaround time from 18 to about 11 days. Kathy is going to meet with User Service department heads to discuss the report as well as results of searching done in OCLC.
