"Dust"
(Russia, 2005)
An independent,
low-budget recent Russian film shot on digital camera. Lesha Sergeev is
a sluggish, overweight fellow who lives with his grandmother, who
controls every aspect of his life. Somehow Lesha is selected by the FSB
(the modern-day Russian secret police, the new "KGB") for a secret
experiment. As a result of the experiment, Lesha sees his elusive,
flickering double, a more athletic, handsome version of himself. He
chases after his "other body" all over Moscow, providing a tour of
Putin’s Russia.
