Show House for Garden Homes, Inc. 1994: There were two requirements for this show house for Garden Homes, Inc. - make it a house to remember, yet keep it salable in the marketplace. Poor design and excessive price has kept other builders' show houses unsold for many years. A lakeside feel that combined both traditional and modern features was desired.

The garage was placed perpendicular to and on the side of the house to create a courtyard at the front.   Upon entering the house you find yourself in the tall, long Hall that is transverse to your path, and leads to the private zone on the left and the informal portion on the right. Up two steps toward the rear, and you are in the Living/Dining room with a view to the lake. Raising the floor level helped control the height of the room, position the deck at a higher level, and raised the ceiling of the finished portions of the lower level.
