Stipends
and Insurance
Participants receive a modest living stipend, totaling roughly $11,000 per year. This means that ACE teachers are paid approximately $800 - $1000 per month, adjusted for the cost of living. From that amount, members typically contribute about $300 each month to community rent, utilities, transportation, Internet, and food expenses. ACE does not supply vehicles or auto insurance for transporting its members, though members are provided two $150 travel stipends each year. ACE also pays travel expenses to and from the annual December retreat. ACE teachers receive complete medical insurance coverage during their two years of service. This insurance does not include provisions for optical and dental expenses. |
