C/MAJ AMANDA HETTLER

Squadron Commander | AS300

Short Bio

Hi! I'm a junior from O'Fallon, IL and I currently reside in Pasquerilla West Hall at the University of Notre Dame. I'm a political science and economics major. I hope to be a JAG when I enter the Air Force. I grew up in an Air Force family and can't think of anything I'd rather do than be a member of the USAF!! In my free time I enjoy music, playing the piano and flute, drinking coffee with friends, and watching Fox News, Law and Order, or Grey's Anatomy.

What do you want to accomplish in AAS this year?

I hope to see AAS really get involved in our local community and truly live our core value of "Service Before Self". I look forward to many fun projects this Spring, especially Spring Fling, Breaking Stuff: House deconstruction, and projects for our troops like Rosaries for Warriors.

Why do you participate in AAS?

I am a part of AAS because I really like its goal of producing professional young people that are dedicated to the service of others. I love the group of people I get to work with in AAS and I really love seeing how our work can benefit others.

Any project ideas you're especially fond of?

This semester I am especially excited about our ongoing Rosaries for Warriors project with Silver Wings, I just think it is a great way to reach out to our troops stationed overseas!
