The Plan

The HammerHeads received the same assignment as the other groups. To minimize drag they are planning to use a canard configuration with an elliptical wing, NACA 0009, and recessed, deployable landing skids. Team HammerHead imposed two additional, and very important, secondary design drivers on themselves: simple construction and survivability. Do they know something the other groups don't? Is it possible they've seen the flight tests from previous years?
Like the other groups, the HammerHead vehicle will feature an internal cargo area. The H2's cargo bay will carry 6 servos, a GPS transmitter and antennae, an electronics box, and battery power supply.
