Hi! My name is Stanislav Gordeyev. I am a russian research assistant professor working at the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. Some details about my research you can find at the research part of my homepage. I love mountain skiing, tennis and don't mind traveling, if I have money and time. Already visited California several times (L.A., San Francisco, Death Valley, Lake Tahoe), as well as pretty much the rest of continental USA and Hawaii, Mexico (Baja Kalifornia), Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal (Canada), London (England), Prague (Czech Republic), Australia, Switzerland, not to mention numerous trips in Russia. You can find some photo albums on the Web: Grand Canyon, Japan, Hawaii, Arches National Park, Utah, Nepal and Pakistan My favorite sports are Grand Slam tennis tournament and NBA games. Started playing soccer, mostly as a goalkeeper, and experimenting with playing volleyball.

• 1968 -- 1975 -- Happiest time - no school, only kindergarden (sleep and eat)
• 1975 -- 1985 -- Well, things got a bit messier : Elementary, Middle and High School

• 1999 - 2000 -- Stay as a post-doc here.
• 2001 - 2003 - Now I am a Visiting Assistant Professor. The same university.
• May, 10 2001 - Received an Owen M. Griffin Memorial Prize for Excellence in Fluid Mechanics
  
• 2003 - present - Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Flow Control and Physics at the Dept. of Aerospace and Mech. Eng., Univeristy of Notre Dame. The same university, but a different office now. And I like it here !
