The digital signal processing will be be performed within Matlab. While a little dated, new users to Matlab should start by printing out and going through the Matlab Primer. Also see the following resources for help.

We will be using the multimedia capabilities of the Sun machines to acquire, process and display audio, image, and video data.

Project reports are due electronically via the web. You should set up a WWW homepage. Check the OIT Web documentation on how to do this. Send me the URL once you have this set up.
