• Faculty Research Program (FRP)
The FRP provides research grants of up to $10,000.
Deadline: Thursday, October 2, 2008
Purpose of the program: 1) To provide seed funds to faculty initiating new research projects 2) To encourage and broaden faculty participation in research and other scholarly and creative pursuits through financial support of selected activities which, in their current state, are not likely to receive support from extramural sources 3) To assist new faculty beginning their research programs 4) To assist more established faculty if they are initiating new research programs likely to attract extramural support for further study

• Kobayashi Travel Fund
This fund supports travel associated with scholarly activity conducted by full-time, regular faculty members. Requests for up to $1,000 are accepted throughout the year.

• Equipment Restoration & Renewal Program (ERR)
This program is designed to restore or replace equipment required for current research or other scholarly activities. Proposals are submitted to respective schools/colleges and then two proposals are selected and submitted on behalf of each major University division to the Office of Research.
Deadline to submit proposals to the schools/colleges is Thursday, October 30, 2008. Ranked proposals from schools/colleges is due to the Office of Research on Thursday, November 20, 2008.
