Renovare Project Mission & Charter

The mission of the Renovare project is to improve access to data for students, faculty, and staff, streamline and automate the University's business processes, and increase integration between systems. Following are examples of ways in which we will achieve this mission:

Improve Access to Data

  1. Implement a convenient, intuitive, Web-based facility for student and faculty self-service
  2. Provide timely and accurate information for management decisions
  3. Provide flexible, ad-hoc reporting capabilities
  4. Provide a one-stop-shop to deliver information from administrative systems to the desktop

Streamline and Automate the University's Business Processes

  1. Improve responsiveness to student needs by streamlining business processes that divert time and energy from personal services
  2. Enhance our ability to recruit the right students and mine the appropriate Admissions data
  3. Assist in determining what it will take to move a prospect closer to an appropriate size gift within an appropriate time frame
  4. Eliminate duplicate data entry and redundant input steps; standardize all aspects of data entry and codes

Increase Integration Between Systems:

  1. Reduce redundancy of data
  2. Provide more timely and accurate interfaces between systems
  3. Promote greater cooperation among University offices and better interdepartmental planning
