| Spring Semester 2002 | Steve Bomeli, Scott Munn, and John Kurtz have done the bulk of the work on the new exchange system at
Surrey Motorsports in Niles, Michigan. The system was completed at the beginning of April

| June 2001 | Randy Raush and Steve Bomeli began work on the car for the summer. Two of the major project are finishing the new exchange system, and fixing the cut out problems. Scott Munn gave our website a new look. |
| May 2001 | The team competed at Winchester qualifying in the 6th position with a lap of 20.9 (86 MPH Average). At the start of the Race our driver, Warren White dropped down low to pass both BGSU and IUPUI but the car shut down when he shifted. From there on the car experienced electrical cut outs during the race. The Irish Racing Team ended up fifth in the race. |
| April 2001 | The new A-arms were installed, and the team began prep for Winchester. |
| January 2001 | Work on the Inverter is completed, and it
is put back in the car.
New A arms have been ordered from Surrey Motorsports. |
| December 2000 | The rough cuts for 32 new cases have been completed. |
| November 2000 | The Final prototype for the new cases is finished and the aluminum is ordered. |
| October 2000 | The first prototype for the new battery cases is completed. |
| August 2000 | The inverter has be disassembled to figure out our power cut out problems, and we think we have found the problem. |
| July 28-29, 2000 | The Irish Racing Team competed in its first event in over two years. Our fastest recorded lap was a 21.00 (85.71 mph). We exprienced problems with the car cutting out after several laps. The team led a lap in the 30 lap race and was in second for most of the first half of the race. |
| June - July 2000 | The team purchased 60 new Optima Yellow Top batteries, and reassembled the car for the Winchester race. |
| April 9, 2000 | Transmition problems / The car is unable to get a gear |
| April 1, 2000 | Tested the Formula
Lightning car for the first time on a track since 1998. We tested the car at Winchester Speedway, a half mile oval in central Indiana by the Ohio border. Warren White drove our car for us. Posting a fast lap of 22.10 seconds (81.45 mph). The team was able to learn some valuble information about the track, and how to set the car up for the July race at Winchester. IUPUI also tested at Winchester. From our calculations they posted a fast lap of about 20.5 seconds (87.8 mph). |
