A collection of the letters signed by "The Phantom" that appeared
in players' lockers on the Monday prior to Notre Dame football
games when Ara Parseghian was coach (1964 to 1974).
While some have been lost, the book contains 100 of the "Phantom
Speaks" letters, which contained phrases and sayings designed
to motivate the players.
Pagna was an assistant coach under Ara Parseghian, who contributes
the preface for this book. Royalties from it are being donated
to the Ara Parseghian Medical Foundation, which investigates Neimann-Pick
Type C disease, a debilitating terminal disease in children.
