by Joanie Mendenhall '00 (Spinster)
While
working in New York City's publishing world, Mendenhall was what
she called a "glorified secretary. " She would scribble
songs on the side and perform when possible. Now she lives in
San Diego and has released a solo debut album. She also plays
with the rock band the Exfriends.
The vocalist, who plays guitar, Rhodes electric keyboard and
the accordion, has a style and voice that have been compared to
Joni Mitchell and Aimee Mann. For information or to order the
CD, see www.joaniemen.com
