This
inventive novel offers a lively view of the bard through the eyes
of his daughter. Mixing fact and fiction, the author showcases
the London and the theater of Shakespeare's time. Judith travels
from Stratford to London to disrupt the presentation of her father's
newest play, which she views as a comic treatment of a family
tragedy. There, she learns more about her father and his writing,
and enters the magical world of the Globe Theater.
The author is a professor of English literature at Western Michigan
University.
