Victory March Centennial Band Alumni Celebration

Registration Deadline is May 15, 2008

This historic Band celebration will be held the weekend of the Notre Dame vs. Stanford game, October 4, 2008.

The event has two purposes:

Band Reunion(1) Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the greatest fight song of them all, by bringing together the loyal sons and daughters of Notre Dame who have performed the Victory March hundreds and thousands of times-the past and present members of the University of Notre Dame Band!

(2)Supporting the O'Brien Fund, raising funds to make possible the Band's development and trips during the next 100 years of the University of Notre Dame Band and its great fight song-The Notre Dame Victory March

Demand for tickets to Notre Dame home games continues to rise in record numbers. In addition to the 500 tickets originally allotted by the athletic department we have recently been allotted an additional 300 seats. All seats are located in the west endzone area on the field level! You may apply for 1 or 2 tickets. The additional 300 tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with special consideration for Band alums from earlier decades. A waiting list will be kept for any additional seats that may become available. Alums who secure tickets for the Celebration will be notified by May 15. Those with tickets for the Celebration will not be eligible to participate in the Alumni Ticket Lottery for the Stanford game.

(optional $200 or more contribution)*

Victory March Celebration Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the spouse/guest game tickets located?

All game tickets for the Victory March Centennial are located on the field. Spouses/guests will be seated next to their participating Band Alum unless their spouse is a member of a different section (i.e. Piccolo with a trumpet guest; each will sit in their own section).

How will my spouse/guest get to their seat?

We are planning on the spouses/guests following the Alumni Band on their march from the Dome to the Stadium and then entering the stadium through the tunnel entrance! More information regarding these arrangements will follow.

Are the shirt and hat required to participate in the Celebration activities?

Yes, the Victory March uniform is required to gain access to the field for both Band Alums and their guests.

Can I just use my hat from a previous gathering?

No. The hat for the Victory March Celebration is a different color and in embroidered with the "Victory March 100 Years" logo.

Can I purchase additional Legends reception tickets?

Legends reception tickets will be available at the Alumni Band registration tent and at the door of Legends Bar and Grill on the night of the event. If you prefer to add these tickets to your package before the Stanford game weekend you may do so by calling 574-631-3084.

How does the recent construction on campus affect parking and driving?

Please refer to the NDSP Football parking and traffic information page.

What if I have to cancel my Victory March Centennial Reservation?

Occasionally circumstances change and a Band Alum who was planning to attend the Celebration cannot do so. Refunds will be made accordingly, depending on deadlines for which funds will have been expended. Cancellations and requests must be made in writing or by email to Donelle Flick.

  1. Due to tax implications the O'Brien donation is not refundable.
  2. Ticket payments are refundable prior to May 15th, and may be refundable after that if purchased by a Band Alum on the waiting list.
  3. Legends reception tickets are refundable prior to October 1.
  4. Hats and Polos have already been ordered to specific size requirements and are not refundable. In case of subsequent cancellations, the ordered apparel will be shipped to the Band Alum following the Reunion.
