Mark Gunty is the Assistant Director of Institutional Research and Concurrent Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Notre Dame. He holds the B.A. in the History and Literature of Religions from Northwestern University and the M.A. in Human Development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. After twelve years of high school teaching and college campus ministry, he returned to school to earn the Master's in Peace Studies and the Doctorate in Sociology at Notre Dame. His professional specialties include research methods, educational organizations, organizational climate, sociology of masculinity, and social responsibility. His current responsibilities focus on student surveys and assessment measures. Mark is originally from the Chicago area and has lived in California. He currently lives in South Bend with his wife and four children.
