Research Interests:

Mark Alber: Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Biocomplexity
- Research Interests: See personal homepage. See also, The Condensed Matter and Biophysics Group

Bei Hu: Partial Differential Equations (PDE) and their applications in Engineering, Industry, Biology, and Math Finance. Many physical processes can be modeled using PDEs.

François Ledrappier: Global properties of deterministic and random dynamical systems. Relations between entropy, exponents and dimension.

Joachim Rosenthal: Coding theory and cryptography. Collaborating with the coding group in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame.

Andrew Sommese: Numerical Algebraic Geometry: a new area developing algorithms to numerically compute and manipulate the solution sets of systems of multivariate polynomials in order to solve problems in engineering and science.

Zhiliang Xu:  My main research interests are in computational fluid dynamics, numerical methods for PDEs and interface methods.

Yongtao Zhang:  My main research interests are computational and mathematical biology, and numerical methods for PDEs on structured and unstructured meshes.
