TITLE: Learning from Our Students
DATE, TIME, LOCATION: 2/13/2007, 4:45pm, HH231
Reading and grading our students work can both be an eye opening and instructional experience for teachers. Our students work could indicate both the effectiveness of our teaching, and also shows us where our students are in their learning and understanding of the course material. In this talk, we will look at examples of students work and explore the various mistakes (according to us) made in their work. We will also discuss how the thoughts of our students can help us become more effective in teaching, and in writing questions.
The speaker encourages all interested in this talk to read the article Will This Be on the Exam? by Bill McCallum before coming to the talk.
