What is Vista and why would one use it?

Vista is a web-based system that you can use to enhance your classes. You provide the content and Vista provides tools for structure, interactivity, and management. You can use Vista to:

• Post grades,
• Provide a list of Web links,
• Publish your syllabus.
• Distribute files (PowerPoint, PDF, etc.),
• Create an online quiz,
• Carry on a discussion, or
• Conduct a survey

You can choose to use all of the tools, some of them, or just one. The Kaneb Center can help you select and integrate the most effective tools for your course.

Over two hundred Notre Dame faculty members, representing all colleges, use Vista. A large majority of the student body participates in one or more of the hundreds of active courses. If you are interested in using Vista, here are two ways to start:
