Simone Hamrick
is a first-year Ph.D. student in English. Her primary interest is in the appropriation of the Irish language and Gaelic Irish culture by various groups in nineteenth-century Ireland. Simone is currently considering a research project on Lady Morgan, the Irish language and romanticism.
