HPCC Policies

ND HPCC Allocation Policy

As part of the HPCC upgrade (Dec. 1999), we will be requiring account revalidation by all users. This is necessary in order to collect the data needed to implement an allocation policy consistent with the HPCC Allocation Policy Guidelines.

Security Policy

Any user of the HPCC must use a ssh connection in order to access HPCC resources.

Quotas Policy - scratch disk space

Quotas were implemented to allow the maximum user interaction on each machine. Quotas limit the amount of scratch space used for each user. The limits are as follows:

sun9.hpcc.nd.edu : 40GB
sun10.hpcc.nd.edu - sun25.hpcc.nd.edu : scratch linked to /dscratch
sun26.hpcc.nd.edu - sun29.hpcc.nd.edu : 50GB
o3000.hpcc.nd.edu : 30GB
perseus.hpcc.nd.edu : 2.6GB
poseidon.hpcc.nd.edu : 30GB
onyx2.hpcc.nd.edu : 10GB
stats.hpcc.nd.edu : 50GB
cnode01-32.hpcc.nd.edu : no limit
