ABOUT THE HOLY CROSS MISSION CENTER

Holy Cross Mission Center is an office of support for the international mission of Holy Cross. A work of the Indiana Province of the Congregation, it has particular fundraising and stewardship responsibilities for the international commitments of that province - the Districts of East Africa and Chile - and for the Holy Cross mission in the new and growing provinces of Bangladesh, with which the Indiana Province has special historical and fraternal ties and for which the Holy Cross Foreign Mission Society was originally founded in 1923.

The Holy Cross Mission Center seeks to foster and promote an awareness of the international and intercultural aspects of Holy Cross life and mission within the Congregation. In addition, the Mission Center encourages attention to the mission dimension of ministry in all the diverse settings of Holy Cross service, and supports an exchange of information and personnel across the borders of that service so that the riches of Holy Cross internationality can benefit all.

The activities of the Center fall under five headings:

      Mission Education and Formation

      Hospitality and Support for Holy Cross religious in International Mission;

      Communication of the Mission and the Sharing of Information on the Mission;

      Collaboration with all in Holy Cross Concerned with Supporting our International Mission;

      Fundraising and Stewardship for Holy Cross International Missions
