I was born in New Orleans but attended high school near Milwaukee, WI. Ironically, in 1982, Notre Dame sat at the bottom of my college choices, because I did not know its story; however, my wise mother urged me to try it for at least a year.  She's the smart one, because 23 years later I'm still here!

During that time, I have experienced the university from the perspective of undergraduate student, MBA student, alumnus, admissions counselor, teacher, and academic advisor. I am also a proud parent and my youngest child is a senior at St. mary's College. I draw upon all of these varied experiences to counsel first-year students.

Speaking of drawing, I also do portraits - - don't be surprised if I pull out pencil and paper for a quick sketch during an advising session! I also am a happy and involved member of St. Augustine Catholic Church (youth ministry, gospel choir, etc).
