"The
most important single factor influencing learning is
what the learner already knows. Ascertain this
and teach him accordingly."
-
David Ausubel
Over
the course of my professional life, I have undergone
many changes in my interests but two things have always
remained strong--my interest in the teaching of writing
and critical reading and my commitment to providing
students with as much personal attention as is possible
so that they might reap as much benefit as possible
from the educational experience.
