Additional Direct
Unsubsidized Loan Eligibility

Undergraduate students are eligible to borrow up to an additional $2,000 per academic year from the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan Program.  Annual borrowing limits are listed on the Federal Direct Loan Page.

Eligible students must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are subject to the terms and conditions of the Federal Direct Loan Program.  As always, taking on debt for any reason should be done deliberately and only for the amount needed.

If you have already filed the FAFSA and are interested in borrowing this additional Direct Unsubsidized Loan (up to $2000), please complete and submit the form below. If the additional $2,000 was included on your Award Letter (or is already listed on insideND), you do not have to complete this form.
