Description of Position

Fall - Spring 08/09
Student will conduct independent initiative in researching potential topic presentations to raise campus wide levels of awareness of various peace and justice issues.  Coordination and facilitation of programs, lectures, meetings, debates and presentations which focus on various timely concerns raised in the field of Justice Education.  Competence with clerical work such as filing and computer data entry.  Promotion of peace and justice issues through programming, networking and publicity.

Qualifications
Demonstrated familiarity with all aspects and principles of Catholic social thought.   Awareness of complexities of current social dynamics as related to issues of peace and justice.  Ability to organize and develop programs to promote justice education.  Ability to critique present day social realities in the light of gospel vales and Catholic social teaching.
Numbers of hours per week
8 - 12
Schedule
Flexible as determined with supervisor.
Hourly Rate
$7.05 and up depending on CSC program experience.
