Description of Position |
The assistant will be responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Children's Programs to plan and facilitate youth activities with 25-35 children, ages 6-17. The assistant's work day will be from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Job responsibilities will vary from administrative duties and planning events to developing activities and educational projects for the children. Before the program, the assistant will set up for any activities, crafts or presentations for that day. The children arrive at the RCLC at 2:30pm and the assistant will distribute snacks, facilitate activities in cooperation with the Associate Director of Children's Programs, other staff and volunteers, and maintain a safe and fun environment for all. At 5:30pm the children depart from the RCLC and it will be the responsibility of the assistant to make sure the rooms are in order and make any necessary preparations for the following day. |

Qualifications |
Strong interest in education Federal Work-Study eligible Energetic, positive attitude, with a commitment to improving university-community relations Excellent computer experience/word processing skills Organizational skills to respond to multiple tasks for short time periods Experience working in an office environment Ability to work between the house of 2:00 & 6:00pm at least twice per week. |
