Description of Position

In this Notre Dame sponsored initiative, the receptionist/office assistant will be responsible for welcoming community residents and partners coming into the Robinson Community Learning Center.  Responsibilities include answering questions and guiding guests to appropriate room/staff; answering the telephone; entering program attendess into the attendance system; handling inquiries or routing questions to appropriate staff members.  This position is also a support position to the administrative assistant and other staff members of the Center.

Qualifications

- Energetic, positive attitude and a commit ment to improving university/community relations is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with a diverse population.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.) are required.
- Organizational skills are required to respond to multiple tasks for short time periods.
- Ability to follow directions is essential.
- FEDERAL WORK STUDY STUDENTS PREFERRED

The Center is open from 8:00am - 8:00pm, Monday - Thursday and 8:00am - 6:00pm on Fridays.

The following time frames need to be filled:  8:00am - 10:00am - Monday thru Thursday. 1:00pm - 3:00pm Monday thru Thursday and 6:00pm - 8:00pm Monday - Thursday.
