The purpose of your visit is “TOURISM” as you are not conducting business on this trip and do not have a business letter of invitation from a Chinese company.

The Name, Address and Phone of Chinese inviting organization are:

Global Hanyu & Culture Division
Global EduTech Management Corp.
Multicultural Building, Dushu Lake Higher Education Town Suzhou, 215023, China
TEL:+86.512.6283.3139 FAX:+86.512.6283.3153 Mobile:+86.136.4622.2667

Provinces, cities to visit:  Shanghai and Suzhou.
We can provide you with an invitation letter if needed for a long term Visa.  The single entry Visa does not require an invitation.  China now has a multi-entry one and two year (listed but not normally processed) Visa.

Our Travel Agent can assist in expediting the process.  Please contact me for further information: johannig@nd.edu

ARRIVAL
When you arrive at Shanghai Airport expect a 30 minute wait to clear customs.

If asked the “purpose” of your trip you should say “To attend a conference and do some sightseeing.”  The program is not considered a “business” trip as you will not be conducting business during the program.

Airport Pick-Up
Look for your name on a sign when you exit customs and immigration.  The person holding the sign will escort you to your vehicle for the ride to your hotel.

Be certain that we have your accurate flight information to ensure that you are met in a timely fashion at the airport.
